Samsung TV Tech Ad Includes Spicy Guest

Seemingly out of nowhere, Samsung has been doing the most future-forward (and occasionally unsettling) things with technology of late.
Earlier this year, the company debuted a prototype at the Consumer Electronics Show called the Smart Window. Reviewers at Mobile Nations noted the interactive screen/kitchen window was Minority Report come to life. Yup, it’s a kitchen window/GUI with digital blinds that you can tweet about. Spooky.
Now Samsung is actually activating motion-control in its new range of ES7000 and ES8000 Smart TVs. You can operate your TV by waving your hand in the air, and log in to the Smart Hub using face recognition. And in a development that cleverly echoes the many, many times that phones get mistaken for TV remotes, you can even change the channel by talking into Samsung’s. (eg: “Uh-oh! Big Bang Theory! Change to ALL OTHER channels!) Next level. And friendlier than the Smart Window.
So how do you sell super tech to both men and women? Well, include a spicy star in your commercial. And an angelic supermodel. Plus a horde of nerds. And pizza. Everyone loves pizza. Samsung calls it Seductive Motion.
